Centrifugal Slurry Pump
Centrifugal pumps come in various types, including horizontal, cantilever, centrifugal, and single-stage slurry pumps. The specific type in question is the cantilever single-stage pump, with the pump body installed horizontally and the pump impeller supported by a cantilever structure. This type of pump is suitable for transporting abrasive or corrosive media and is widely used in industrial sectors such as power, metallurgy, mining, coal, construction materials, and chemical engineering.

Seal Type:Expeller Seal, Packing Seal, Mechanical Seal：
1.Expeller Sealing：
This sealing method utilizes the pressure generated by the impeller and the series-connected auxiliary impeller. It is suitable for single-stage pumps or the first stage of multi-stage series pumps, especially when the positive pressure value at the pump inlet is no more than 10% of the pressure value at the pump outlet. Its advantages include the elimination of the need for sealing water, prevention of slurry dilution, and excellent sealing performance. However, it may increase power consumption, typically adding about 5% to the shaft power.
2.Packing Sealing：
A common shaft sealing form, it is applicable to various working conditions. Special materials such as PTFE packing and graphite packing can be used, making it suitable for corrosive or high-temperature environments. With a simple structure and convenient maintenance, it requires regular addition of sealing water, and sufficient water pressure and flow must be ensured.
3.Mechanical Sealing：
Usually employed when high sealing requirements are necessary, such as in the food and chemical industries. It offers excellent sealing performance but comes with a higher cost and inconvenient maintenance.
Each of these sealing forms has its own characteristics and applicable scenarios. Selecting the appropriate sealing form is crucial for ensuring the performance and efficiency of slurry pumps.
